Oh No! Abandoned's Developer Just Referenced Silent Hill

Bold move. Blue Box Game Studios got a lot of sympathy for unwittingly getting dragged into a Hideo Kojima ruse, but this teasing will do it no favours if it turns out to be a gag. The Dutch developer working on PlayStation 5 survival game Abandoned sent out a message on Twitter this evening which raised eyebrows: “Guess the name: Abandoned = (First letter S, Last letter L). Reveal closing in...” It’s obviously alluding to Silent Hill here, but there’ll inevitably be a backlash when that turns out not to be true. There have been rumours about Konami’s survival horror series for well over a year.
