School Bar, one of Beijing’s last remaining bastions of punk and underground rock, has been doing the New Year in true punk fashion with their Chaos Weekend, Vol. 27. Now it’s back in time for 2025, and time enough to rock out to ring in the New Year.
This year will see some well-known members of China’s punk scene – think Gum Bleed and Hell City – and newbies like System Chaos, Beijing Dolls, and Refuse to Obey.
The nine-band lineup is set to kick things off at 7pm before going late into the night. One thing is for certain with this show: while a new year is coming, and with it change, punk is never gonna die.
Chaos Weekend, Vol. 27 is taking place on Saturday, Dec 28 from 7pm ‘til late at School Bar. Tickets are RMB 120/person and can be purchased via the mini-program at the bottom of this link.
