Xbox Games Showcase 2025: All The Biggest Announcements

This week has been a flurry of announcements, and at long last, it was time to see what Xbox had up its proverbial sleeve. The 2025 Xbox Games Showcase featured dozens of trailers, with a good chunk of them being devoted to world premieres. We've rounded up all of the games and announcements below.

Some of the new games here included sequels to High on Life and Planet of Lana, a brand-new adventure set in the world of A Plague Tale, and Pokemon developer Game Freak debuted its action game Beast of Reincarnation. The next Call of Duty game closed things out, along with several other big announcements.

We also got a closer look at other in-development games, with Clockwork Revolution being a big surprise. The preview for the game looks solid in terms of gameplay, but it looks like this new steampunk adventure has plenty of character and attitude to make it stand out from the pack. The cinematic reveal trailer for High on Life 2 showed off exactly what you'd expect from this follow-up: an arsenal of talkative weapons, weird alien worlds, and residents of far-off planets debating the ethics of using human beings as a steady supply of cheap drugs.

Resonance: A Plague Tale






The next chapter in the Plague Tale series was officially revealed, and this time, players will step into the boots of a new protagonist. The Xbox Ally






While it's essentially a modified Asus ROG Ally, the exciting thing about the announcement of the Xbox Ally was the reveal that a "unified" Xbox experience is currently in development for the handheld and other systems.

The Blood of Dawnwalker






The new gameplay for The Blood of Dawnwalker showed off plenty of action for you to sink your teeth into, and the game is currently scheduled to be released in 2026.

It's Super Meat Boy, but in even meatier 3D! The reveal trailer showed off plenty of challenging levels, as well as some of the painful consequences awaiting Meat Boy if he messes up a run.

Ninja Gaiden 4, currently in development at Platinum Games, launches on October 21. The new trailer showed off some sharp action, and it'll be released through Xbox Game Pass as well.

Beast of Reincarnation






Beast of Reincarnation looks like a fascinating blend of swords and sorcery, but the biggest surprise here is that the action game is being developed by Pokemon studio Game Freak. It'll be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.

Overachievers Obsidian Entertainment aren't content with just two games out this year, as they're going for the hat trick with Grounded 2. It'll be available starting July 29 via Xbox Game Preview.
