John McGlynn believes his former club Hearts can "absolutely" provide a long-term challenge to the Old Firm thanks to Tony Bloom's backing. Falkirk boss McGlynn, 63, was part of the Hearts backroom staff when they last finished in the top two in the Premiership in 2005-06 during Vladimir Romanov's tumultuous ownership. The Tynecastle side are tied at the top of with Celtic - nine points clear of Rangers - after five matches this term and have the benefit of Brighton owner Bloom's financial investment and expertise.
